Fellow Rotarians,
What a time to be a Rotarian! For the first time in the history of Rotary International, a woman leader is at the helm – Ms. Jennifer Jones. This will be the first time in our Club’s history that we have three consecutive female Club Presidents and I feel deeply privileged and thankful to lead our club for 2022-2023 Rotary year.
As we embark on this new Rotary year, Polio Plus remains at the forefront as we inch closer to eradicating Polio. District 7020 continues to forge ahead with a more recent Rotary International initiative, HANWASH, a program that strives to provide clean water and sanitation to all Haitians.
As you know, Rotary Central has always been a club full of innovators, leaders, movers, and shakers. Whether your passion is working on Bus Shelters, reading to children, raising money for Music Extravaganza, The Rotary Central Science Fair, refugee relief or any of our other numerous and varied projects, we are PEOPLE OF ACTION!
“If you want to be a true professional you will do something outside yourself. Something to repair tears in your community. Something to make life a little better for people less fortunate than you. That’s why I think a meaningful life is- living not for oneself, but for one’s community” – Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg
With that said, I invite you to “Imagine, a world that deserves our best, where we get up each day knowing that we can make a difference.” – Jennifer E. Jones RI President
