Fellow Rotarians
It is with great excitement and profound honor that I step into the role of President of Rotary Central Cayman Islands for the 2025–2026 Rotary year. On behalf of our entire incoming Board, I extend heartfelt thanks for your trust and support. We look forward to delivering another action-packed, impactful, and fun-filled year as we continue our journey of service to our community and beyond.
Building on the success of years past, we will continue to lead and support many of our hallmark initiatives—such as the island-wide health screenings, the Science Fair, and the Music Extravaganza. Our recent introduction of a mobile blood bank has deepened our community health focus, and we are now extending our reach even further. Plans are underway to support health screening events in neighboring Jamaica and to adopt a rural health clinic over a three-year period, supplying essential equipment and care where it’s needed most.
This year’s Rotary International theme, introduced by RI President Mário César Martins de Camargo, is “Unite for Good.” It aligns beautifully with our own direction. His call to action—centered on the power of human connection, collaboration, and service—is perfectly mirrored in our own club theme of being “Part of a Bigger Team”. Whether working side by side on a local project or connecting with Rotarians across borders, we are stronger when we act together. Every Rotarian brings something vital to the table, and when we work together—as one team—we amplify our impact. This spirit of unity is what defines Rotary Central, and it’s what will drive us forward in the year ahead. The message “Part of a Bigger Team” reflects my belief that our strength lies not just in individual commitment, but in collective collaboration.
In addition to serving our community, we must also remember to care for ourselves and one another. That’s why we are introducing a new club initiative: “Wellness Wednesdays.” Once a month, our members will have the opportunity to explore different aspects of health and wellbeing—from nutrition and stress management to fun and active sessions like aqua aerobics, yoga, and spin cycling. Supporting the wellness of our team ensures we remain strong, vibrant, and ready to serve.
There is a unique and inspiring energy within Rotary Central, and this year, the Board and I are committed to harnessing it fully. We will deliver a dynamic calendar of events and service opportunities that encourage wide participation, spark new ideas, and strengthen our connection with the wider community.
Let us embrace the year ahead with passion, unity, and teamwork. Because when we understand that we are all part of a bigger team, we can truly unite for good—and make an even greater difference together.
In Rotary Service,
Steve Tippetts
