As the President of Rotary Central Cayman Islands for the year 2024-25, it is my honor and privilege to serve alongside the dynamic and dedicated individuals that comprise this club. Rotary Central Our club has a rich history of service, fellowship, and commitment to the Rotary motto of “Service Above Self.” We are part of a global network of 1.2 million Rotarians who are making a positive impact in their communities and around the world.
Our mission is simple yet profound: to provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in our local community and beyond. This year Rotary International’s president Stephanie Urchik, has chosen to focus on the “Magic of Rotary” an opportunity for us to concentrate our resources, skills, and passions on generating unbelievable change in the local and global communities. Over the years, Rotary Central Cayman Islands has been at the forefront of numerous impactful projects. From supporting education and healthcare to addressing environmental issues and promoting peace, we strive to make a difference in every way we can.
Some of our notable initiatives include:
- The Rotary Central Science Fair: An annual event that encourages and celebrates the scientific talents of young minds in our community.
- Literacy and Education Projects: Providing books, scholarships, and resources to schools and students, ensuring that everyone has access to quality education.
- Health and Wellness Programs: Organizing health fairs, supporting mental health initiatives, and contributing to disease prevention efforts.
- Environmental Sustainability: Engaging in beach clean-ups, tree planting, and other activities that protect and preserve our beautiful island environment.
- Community Support: Assisting local families and individuals in need through various outreach programs and partnerships.
